I don't usually write reviews; but since I have become a customer of Big Jim Self Storage, I thought I had to give a shout out to their manager, Sharron Turner. What a pleasure to work with. From the moment I steppped into the lobby, she welcomed me with enthusiasm. She was very personable, professional and knowledgeable about the storage units. She found the perfect unit size to fit my needs and was glad to walk me back to show it to me. In a world these day's where it's difficult to find someone who enjoys their job; Sharron Turner is a true treasure. This gal is a keeper.

Sharon was absolutely wonderful in providing me the information I needed to move my stuff to Big Jim's Self Storage. The process was smooth and quick. Environment was extremely clean which is very important to me. I highly recommend.

Big Jim's Self Storage, and Sharron specifically, was exceptionally accommodating to our dynamic storage requirements as we attempted to purchase a motorcoach in Florida from Virginia. Sharron carefully monitored the status of Big Jim's upcoming storage space and continuously kept us apprised of said space. Her interest in keeping Big Jim's storage spaces occupied coupled with her knowledge of our interest in ensuring storage space for our new coach facilitated the timely movement of our new coach from the seller's location to a secure storage space at Big Jim's Self Storage. It's been a delight to work with Sharron.

The rental process was very easy and pleasant, the facility is very clean and easily accessible. The manager was very kind and helpful, she explained the terms of my rental to me clearly. I am very happy with this facility!

Just rented a wine storage locker from here with Sharron who was beyond helpful and exceptional to work with. The facility and units are very clean and fully conditioned. I will be renting more space here in the near future. As someone who travels and rents storage often, I would recommend it.

We chose this location due to the proximity of our home. Regardless, the team at this business is beyond professional. They have the old-style way of treating you like a real customer and go above the norm to assist. The business is extremely clean and well-maintained. Both the climate-controlled and basic units are top-notch. They even have a lot of climate-controlled wine rooms for rentals. You won’t be dissatisfied with this business. Thanks!!!

The storage experience here was great and worth the money. It's not the cheapest place, but the facility is clean, climate-controlled, and well-kept. Always good and friendly service from the office people as well.

This experience with Big Jim Self Storage has been unbelievable. Starting with a very professional and accommodating staff. To a facility that you can eat off the floors, it was so clean. I love the option to store wine in their own 57 degrees wine room. Staff is always available to answer any questions and just wants to make you feel great. My entire experience at Big Jim's storage has been awesome! The folks there are seasoned professionals who remember what customer service is! They totally met all of my expectations. I would highly recommend them! The only reason I left was I found another facility much closer to me, a 6-minute drive

Big Jim's is fantastic! Great place to store and easy to move in and out, wonderful people.

All good. Even with a 3rd-floor storage unit, it was easy to store our stuff and then remove later when we no longer needed the unit.

Super friendly staff. Access hours were convenient and security seemed solid. We wanted air-conditioned controlled storage and the building was always maintained at the right temps. We had our 10x10 unit for almost 2 years and all in all a great storage facility.

Great Location and Customer Service!

I could not have made my move without Big Jim. The staff was great. The building was very clean and I felt very safe. The hours were great. The bathrooms clean. The price was very reasonable.

Easy access to the elevator to go on the 2nd floor, the place is meticulously clean and great management that went beyond to help us drill out the lock as they lost the keys, just a great place to be.

We have used them for many years. They are a very classy operation that I would recommend to anyone.

We moved to Florida with close to 90 cases of wine and were lucky enough to find a wine storage facility right around the corner. Clean, secure, and you'll need a jacket when visiting your wine! The staff is incredible. We also have a locker that stores misc items. Clean, clean clean. Very easy for moving trucks to back into the loading area. The movers were impressed with the facility. Highly recommend.

We had our car and household goods shipped from Hawaii to Big Jim's location in Bradenton, and the staff helped us out with logistics for both, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Incredible storage facility! My husband and I recently moved to the Lakewood Ranch area and rented a storage unit for three months. Arlene, Donna, and Jim could not have been nicer as well as very helpful and courteous. We were greeted with a smile, and the fresh baked cookies are to die for! The facility itself Is meticulously clean, and contain bathrooms and carts with rollers that make your move very convenient. Outstanding Facility and Personnel.

I stored all of my household furnishings and personal possessions at this Lakewood Ranch location for eight months. As one of the first to move in, I can add to the reviews that when I moved out, everything I stored was in perfect condition. I rented four different units, as needed, at different times. The staff adjusted the billing before the invoice arrived. There was only one glitch in billing, and Arlene fixed it immediately. The facility at move-out was as spotless as when I first moved in. The specials are great, and the location is perfect, close to the post office on SR70. I highly recommend it.

I moved into a 10' X 20' outside unit when Big Jim's first opened.  The manager and staff got the paperwork completed quickly.  After a few months, I decided to move into a 10' X 20' inside unit.  There were no hassles about changing units and I even got the special on both units.  Next, I added a small outside unit, then a 5' X 5' inside unit.  I experienced great service for every rental.  The facility is still new and clean.  The elevators still shine and the restrooms are clean.  I liked to move my items in the evenings and I NEVER saw anyone roaming around or living in the building.  This location is well suited for anyone waiting to build a house in Lakewood Ranch.  My belongings have been safe and clean.  The manager and staff have always been friendly.  I only had one billing blip which was handled professionally.  This is by far the best storage facility that I have ever used.  I highly recommend this storage facility.

I would have to state unequivocally that out of all of the 9 or 10 storage facilities where I have kept my business vehicles and rented storage units at over the years, Big Jim's in Lakewood Ranch is the best by far in regards to customer service, facilities onsite, cleanliness of the building and units, availability and size of outdoor parking slots and pricing options. The staff from Day One not only was professional, knowledgeable and courteous, but they made me feel welcome as well.The folks at the desk, Arlene, Donna and Jim have all handled my many requests quickly and with good humor...much appreciated from this often busy business person. Two quick points of note...1) I am paying considerably less than what I was paying at past storage facilities, and 2) the cookies on the counter always go over well!...A. W. Bennett @ BMC, Inc.

Although this facility is relatively new as I write this, I can state that I have been totally and favorably impressed with all facets of this storage operation. Having rented parking space and storage units at numerous other storage facilities over the past 28 years in Sarasota and Manatee counties, I have found the Lakewood Ranch site to be topnotch in all regards from customer service to pricing to the cleanliness and quality of the buildings and property. I have had all questions asked answered knowledgeably and all requests handled in a professional and courteous manner. The staff are friendly and take the time to talk with you..Arlene, Donna and Jim are all experienced folks who seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and take alot of pride in their operation and don't mind giving potential customers a guided tour of the place. More businesses could take a que from whomever does the hiring at this place!! And NO, I am not affiliated with Big Jim's in any fashion other than being a renter there...I have been sorely disappointed by vendors in the past who did not deliver on their promises and this place is a breath of fresh air so I greatly appreciate their efforts...count me as a satisfied customer!...Tony Bennett...Lakewood Ranch, Fl.
